Sariah Scott
Sariah is a registered clinical psychologist, board approved supervisor and clinic director at Succeed Psychology. Sariah has worked for a number of years in outpatient mental health services, with individuals with chronic and severe mental illness, particularly those who display high risk behaviours.
She advocates for evidence based, individualised treatment for clients, which is both active and collaborative. She believes in addressing clients’ issues in a comprehensive way, taking social and lifestyle factors into consideration. Her clinical orientation draws strongly from Schema Therapy and other approaches such as CBT, DBT, Interpersonal Therapy and Attachment Theory.
Sariah works with adults with complex mental health conditions such as personality disorders, persistent depression, complex trauma and problematic relationships. She also works with couples from an emotional needs based framework. Her approach typically suits those with long-term concerns that require long term, but less acute psychological support. Her aim is to help clients develop insight into maladaptive behaviour and cognition patterns, to build empathy for themselves and live a values-focused life.
