Nooria Tariq
Nooria is a Registered Psychologist and a member of the Australian Psychology Society (MAPS). She has diverse experience of working with different age groups, cultural and religious backgrounds and has an eclectic approach to therapy. She has worked in public health and private practice and has supported people with a broad range of difficulties including depression, anxiety, stress, relationship difficulties, low self-esteem and confidence issues, and adjustment issues.
Nooria has a warm and empathetic attitude and provides a safe and non-judgmental space for her clients to help them harness their strengths. She utilises evidence-based models, adopting a person-centred approach with her clients, and uses CBT, EMDR, DBT, ACT, solution-focused therapy, schema therapy, and mindfulness approaches.
Nooria is experienced working across cross-cultural contexts and is fluent in Urdu, Punjabi and Hindi. She is a WorkCover and NDIS provider.
