Seija Herat
Seija is a Registered Psychologist and member of the Australian Psychological Society. Seija completed a Bachelor of Psychology at the Universty of Western Sydney and the Psychologist Registration program at the Australian College of Applied Psychology. Seija has worked as a Psychologist for over 11 years.
Seija has worked as a Psychologist within the private and public sector. Her employment experiences have included: Community Mental Health, Employee Assistance Programs as well as Private practice. Seija has significant experience in Mental Health, Depression, Anxiety, Trauma, Grief and Loss as well as personal and workplace issues.
Seija is very passionate about health and wellness and incorporates a holistic approach to wellbeing, stress management and self-care strategies. Seija refers to a variety of psychological modalities including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Schema Therapy and Neurobiology. Seija takes a compassionate, open and validating approach in working with clients in order to establish a safe and supportive therapeutic alliance to assist throughout their difficult and challenging experiences.
