Lauren Templeman
Lauren is a seasoned Registered Psychologist with over a decade of experience in the field. She proudly holds membership with the Australian Association of Psychologists. Her academic journey includes a Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) degree from the University of Newcastle, followed by a Post Graduate Diploma in Psychological Practice from the College of Psychological Practice.
Lauren's career in psychology began in employment services and occupational rehabilitation, where she dedicated herself to empowering clients to overcome psychological barriers and achieve meaningful vocational success. Transitioning to Private Practice in 2012, she has since dedicated herself to fostering mental well-being in her clients, striving to make a positive impact on their lives.
Driven by warmth and compassion, Lauren creates a nurturing and secure therapeutic environment, ensuring her clients feel supported throughout their journey. Her expertise encompasses a broad spectrum of concerns, including depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, and relationship difficulties.
With the profound experience of motherhood, Lauren has developed a deep interest in supporting perinatal clients through every facet of their journey into parenthood. From fertility concerns to birth trauma, perinatal depression, anxiety, and loss, she offers empathetic guidance and understanding.
Recognising the unique needs of each individual, Lauren tailors her therapeutic approach to align with her clients' specific goals and preferences. Drawing from modalities such as Schema Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, she provides comprehensive and effective interventions to facilitate meaningful change and growth.
